-Feist, "I Feel It All"
Sorry guys... I feel like I've been gone forever because I haven't been submitting any work. And I've been slacking again on my comments and replies.
Things around here have been kind of busy.
During Christmas after I finished up the commissions, I decided that I was going to hand make some Christmas presents for family members.
So I painted two more paintings. (which I may share here in a bit. They're like the commissions. Not quite "my art", you know?)
And then I knitted a couple scarves, which I wish I had at least taken a good photo of before I mailed them off.
I spoke with my mom who does a good deal of work with the homeless in our area. Her and her boyfriend do a little service of their own where they take sandwhiches (blankets, tolietries, and other things of need...). Not connected with any group or anything...
I think I'm going to knit a few more scarves for them to give out. If I can get them done before it's warm again.
Then, I was asked by my aunt, who is also an artist, to do two pieces to contribute to a show one of her artist groups is having. The theme is "Sixes" as it's their sixth year doing this show. And the judges are from the Atlanta High Museum of Art. So... I've been nervous. And doubting myself a good deal. But I have an AMAZING support group of art friends - THANK YOU!!! for the support, as always. But work on these two are going slow as they are bigger than I normally work.
I received the book, "Guerilla Art" by Keri Smith as a Christmas gift. You should check out
I was also in a show - sort of! Right before the holidays a college student in the UK asked to use some of my work in an art/music/assemblage show to help promote awareness about self injury. (The first show of my own work and I couldn't even go! Ha! But it's exciting none-the-less.)
I also finished my page in the Traveling Journal finally! And sent it off. Actually, soon it should be sent to the third person on the list. <3 It's moving...
I also joined
I'm planning on participating in this and feel free to check it out too. It's called Hearts for Hope. And it's run by
The other reason I'm lacking in journal work is... my New Years Resolution is to work bigger!!! I want a real portfolio of MY art that I can take to galleries, just to see. So I need bigger work. But I miss my journal greatly and I already have plans for my next one so we'll see if I can't manage to do both.
3 newish groups or clubs I want to share.
Sorry this is so very long and wordy, there are just so many amazing people and things going on on this site. I can't help but share. People are working so hard to run these groups and projects and ideas. It's all so beautiful that it's all in one place. And open to all.
Now - a few stamps of even more things I support!

THanks so much for sharing. I was totally planning on doing a journal and you along with
Well, if I end up making more I'll be sure to take photos. <3
I look forward to seeing what more you can cook up.
Thank you for your confidence and the support.
You have no idea how greatly influenced and how pushed I am by people on DA. Yourself included.
I'm glad it isn't a burden, otherwise it wouldn't be fun!
And that, truly touches my heart although I have no words to express it in. All I can possibly fathom to say is that I am beyond honored to be apart of such a thing.
