It occurred to me, now that I'm actually trying to sell my art to others, that I don't own very much art myself. None, in fact, outside of trades.
I am now attempting to start my own collection. (There are so many artists here that I adore.) I want to support them. I want to give back to art - in a time when art is struggling to deem itself valid. (If it even needs to.)
I've made a choice to buy gifts handmade. Any chance I've got - I'm going to support someone like me.
Now - I've made it my goal to never rely FULLY on my art as my means of living. But others are braver than I am. They've taken that jump and some have no choice but to invest in their talents. So I'm kind of asking you to do the same. If you can. Invest in art.
I've made a few purchases lately. And I couldn't be happier with the result.
That being said - I'd like to feature someone that relies on her work as a means of living.

Something else I'd like to share - Letter's To Baby!
I can't recall if I've shared this before on here. If so - it can't hurt to share the love again.
To start - I can't praise the owner enough. She is just wonderful in so many ways. So to take the time to help her out with this writing project... well, you'd be doing good for the world.
Basically, the project is about writing letters to baby's. Now as I understand it - you can take that in any way you wish. Writing to an actual child. Or one that may be one day. Or to one you know will never exist.
