Hi guys!

I've been busy. I'm doing my damnedest to catch up with all the deviations I'm behind on. I promised myself I would not let my in box exceed 200 messages and so far so good. <3

I spent a bit of free time making this...

[link]

So if you have one you should let me know so I can follow you.
I also joined a few flickr groups having to do with art journaling, but they aren't very active with the exception of people putting art up every once in a while.

I've also been working on 3 very different pieces and trying to finish them up for the Art Walk in Marietta on June 1st. If I finish everything in time it will be the first time I've ever had anything displayed publicly outside of school events, ect... <3

One is an oil painting of my cousins.
The second is an acrylic painting I started forever ago.
And the thrid is a mixed media piece that I'm fighting with... but I'm sure it will see things my way after a bit of talking to. <3

Not to mention working in my art journal as often as possible. I should have a BUNCH of pages all finish up at the same time here soon. I finally filled that little pouch area with glitter (I still can't find those confetti stars. :( ) And I was pretty sure I sealed off the area where I put it. But now my book has glitter guts.

I hope everyone is well. <3

Worth it?
IT doesn't cost anything... if you mean worth the time? Meh... I've found some really cool groups. I I like. And I'd like to share some pages on. Not to mention one really cool one where people post old encyclopedia images that have fallen into public domain for people to use in collages... you should see some shortly. heh. But as far as interaction with others goes... it's been really quiet and I don't spend much time there. (Not anywhere to as much as I do on DA.) I originally looked into it because I wanted to link the covers of the books on my blog there but I decided to just link them to DA instead.

Why a hypocrite?

Just because I keep saying "I'll never get twitter" and if I do, I just feel like I'll have done another stupid "everyones doing it" thing, you know?

I just dont need anything else to be addicted too. :(

Gotcha.

Yeah... I picked up one of those recently too.

I'm going to try and start selling art online. So I'm really trying to get to know the mixed media/collage community. See how the pros do it and what have you. I don't expect to sell anything, but I'm at the point financially where I think I should at least give it a shot. Even 100 extra bucks would be AMAZING at this point.

So I'm playing around with all kinds of things. Blogs, Twitter, Flickr, Myspace, Facebook, Other Online Groups. I'm seeing which things fit me and what I can handle/keep up with.

My favorites by far are Facebook, DA, and I'm liking the blog. I wish I had a bit more time to commit to it. But, as you know already :), my little girl isn't giving me much time to work.

I have no idea what's gotten into her. But I hope it's a phase. Last night she didn't go to sleep until 10:30 and then wanted up at 6:30. That leaves 0 mommy time. :(

But I get what you're saying. Maybe also - I'm getting that - I'm getting old feeling and I'm trying to stay with it. hehe.

I am addicted to facebook. I have to check it every like 20 seconds haha. It is a relief though because I leave for camp in June and there is NO internet connection there and I love it. I mean, I could live without internet easy, but when I'm in town and it's my little boring town, and I'm sick (like this week & last) facebook is enteratining.
It's also a bitch when I find that friends make plans wihtout me. Hahah. I used to be hurt by it, now I don't even care. (ok I care a little...but not alot)

Selling will happen. Your stuff is brillant. I know so many people who would be blown away with the emotion that flows from the pages!! Don't ever give up hope- or I'll come over there and beat you silly! Haha. Even though your super far away.

I'm hoping its a phase!! You weren't online once today and normally I leave you like 3 'Hello!' messages knowning your not there but at least you have a little message waiting! haha. Maybe she knows mothers day is around the corner and wants all the time she can with you :)

Gah! Me too! Facebook + my IPhone is a horrible combination. I can check it ALL the time. It's kind of pathetic.

Yeah - a break from technology sounds good to me often. There is a girl on here that did a "detox" from the internet, phones, ect... It sounds so relaxing, but when I'd come back from something like that I'd be all backed up. And finding the time to handle what I do is already difficult enough. :P

So I can't bring myself to take a break because I want to keep up. hehe.

Haha. Thank you so much for your confidence in me. I can't tell you how much that means to me. I'm working pretty hard at making the jump from page to canvas/board. I'm not sure how it's working out, but I'll put some stuff up soon in hopes that you guys can help me out. <3

So sorry about that. I love your little messages, but I feel so bad when I miss you. hehe. I think she's either getting sick, or getting her back teeth. It's been nuts. And I'm pooped. I crashed last night at like... 1130 which is super early for me. And also means I did absolutely no art yesterday. :(

But I'm sure it's a phase.

I hope you're feeling better today! <3

IPhone? YOUR SO LUCKYYY!

I love being away froim technology, but YES I'm overloaded when I get home. I also feel kinda popular. hahaha. But for a 3 week work chunk I have 3 days off so I normally hit up this cute little cafe with wireless and we just do nothing ALL DAY because running after kids and living with kids is enough. Just enough. Hahaha. Espically since my first session kids were the worst. I work at a camp for kids with learning and behavioural disabilites and ohmygod. First session lets just say one kid and i- didn't get along. He choaked me, wouldn't shower, the lot, but the other kids and i got along (one in perticular who was a nasty bugger last year- why they put the worst 2 in the same cabin ill never know-was an angel for me this year, probably becasue when he threw up i had to clean it up and stay with him and he was an angel for me. I was the one who HAD to wake him up otherwise he'd throw a fit)

Second session was much better. They were angels and we just had a blast with them. No therapy basically at all :)

Wow- rant about camp much! Oh well, I'll have to email you my updates on my days off about my cabins this summer. Little stories for you. Hahah.

Don't worry about never being on- it's alright :) Teething is the worst. Come nurse me too- my wisdom teeth are coming in. Haha. But I'm sure it will be all bettersoon. :)

I am better today! Just more and more deaf :S

Haha. It was my husband and I's splurge of the year. We didn't really have the money for it, but you have to treat yourself right sometimes, right?

I like your rant about camp. Feel free to update me as much as you like. <3 Do you do art therapy with them? (You mentioned no therapy in the second session because they were so well behaved.)

Oooo... wisdom teeth suck. Do you have to have them removed? I should have, but didn't and now my bottom teeth are a bit screwy. Oh well.

Glad to hear it about the better... and stop being deaf. :( hehe. <3

I've always kept some kind of journal.
Currently I have my art one and a regular one.
(I go back and forth between the two - there are some things that words just can't say, and others that nothing but words would do.)

I DO have a livejournal. Well, did. I've had it since forever, but recently just stopped using it. And all my friends kind of drifted off. I think I started it in high school actually - kind of scary. But kept up with it through college and Germany to keep in touch with friends at home. (I think my name on that one is Arneb if you want to check it out. haha.)

I switched to Blogger because I wanted something more "professional" as well as more "me". It's super easy. And super fun. I just wish I had more friends to watch and talk to. <3
