"Let's go ATC trading, guys ...
There seem to be only two basic rules:
(1) Size is 6cm by 9cm (either portrait or landscape orientation)
(2) Cards are never sold, but always traded
And two guidelines:
(1) Each card is ideally a one-off original - ie preferably no multiple reproductions
(2) Back of the card has the artist's name, contact detail, name of the card, and date created.
Otherwise, it seems the sky's the limit - any medium (watercolor, photo-manip, fabric, metal, collage, lithograph, etc etc) and any message.
(I'm sure you all know about ATCs, but a useful starting point for resources and links is at [link] )
~KysPerspective suggested the idea to me, and she and I will be trading, and both of us would be delighted to trade with anyone else who's interested."

I want to try something new. And I'm all for getting original art in the mail - no matter how small. <3
I would love to do them aimed at a partner... so if you'd like to do a trade with me, let me know here. Or somewhere - and I'll get working on them soon.
Yay! I'm so excited.

I think the woman who organized it is living in South Africa.
I was just assuming (since they are relatively light) that it would be the same as sending a letter.
But honestly, I have no idea...
I hope it's not too expensive.
(Oh btw, the link's not working ): )

( And thanks! Silly me copied it right from her journal instead of following the link and relinking it. I'll fix it here soon. <3 )
I found another really amazing site...

If you scroll down it has a bunch of fun techniques. Some that I've tried and some that I haven't. But good for both ATCs AND plain old collage work.
I'm pretty excited. I wish I had more time right now. I'd get started on them right away.
Ahhh, don't worry I'm sure you'll get plenty of time soon <3
But yeah I kinda feel the same, but once I'm in the holidays I should have plenty of time to get started on them too
I'd join... but the address thing is a bit unsafe.
I hear ya...
I'm pretty comfortable with all that join.
I guess I'm just pretty relaxed with all that stuff.
I've even drove (pretty much) across the country to visit people I've only talked to online. (with the hubby, of course.)
I guess I'm at the age where I feel old enough to handle myself - but young enough to have grown up BEING on the internet - so it's not weird.
But I understand.
And I'm sure, at times, it's very unsafe.
